Calling all chocoholics, foodies, vegans, and history buffs!
Revel in Chocolatology: Chocolate’s Fantastical Lore, Bittersweet History, & Delicious (Vegan) Recipes, an original and delightful illustrated book that not only provides rich and detailed recipes of all your most treasured desserts and savoury meals, but also explores the history behind chocolate making! Better yet, you can enjoy all your favourite chocolate confectionery’s albeit with a healthy vegan twist, whilst still remaining a delicious and mouth-watering treat!
Angel York and Darin Wick invite you into the brilliant world of chocolate, walking you through its lore, history, and uses. Chocolatology gives the casual cook dozens of ways to incorporate this stellar ingredient into everyday dishes and takes a look into the art of sourcing beans, making chocolate from scratch, and enjoying 18th Century chocolate concoctions.
Did you know that you can make brownies with Zucchini, curry powder and chickpea juice? Sounds icky doesn’t it? EXCEPT that’s it not! I had a go at this delicious dessert and it was shockingly wonderful in every way possible. And when I say in every way, I mean, in every way. Moist, flavoursome and oh-so-chocolatey. It’s also the EASIEST recipe in the world! Seriously! You basically just chuck all the ingredients into a bowl, mix, bake – and VOILA! One ‘Salad’ Brownie to die for. Cooking and eating was never so much fun!
If you love chocolate as much as I do – meaning being OBSESSED by any chocolate flavoured food, whether in drink form, or with alcohol, and enjoy cooking your favourite treats, than you will adore Chocolatology. It’s also bound in a handy smaller size which will be perfect for perching on your shelf, and taking out when those cravings kick in (which is like everyday for me).
Chocoholics… eat your heart out!
